CALIFORNIA LEGISLATIVE END-OF-SESSION PRELIMINARY REPORT
This information is accurate at the time this CAL-ERT was written and originally distributed. The NRA Members' Councils of California will keep you informed as issues affect your gun-rights in California.

Unity + Focus + Effort + Effectiveness = SUCCESS

THANK YOU FOR YOUR EFFORTS!

The smoke is now clearing on California's two-year legislative session, that just ended today.  Once again, we have proven that:  We would have been in big trouble if we had not functioned as a unified-effective team.

During this session, our team defeated many bad bills and we enjoyed the court victories of both the Fiscal/Prop. H and Heller cases.

Over the last few years, we have witnessed our team grow into a political force comprised of NRA Members' Councils, Calguns.net subscribers and readers, gun/hunting clubs, retail gun and sporting good stores, political and legislative staff, gun owners from across the state, NRA's California-based legal team, and of course the NRA-ILA.  The CRPA is now on-board, and we couldn't be happier.

The subscribers and readers of Calguns.net played a valuable role as active team-members in the support and defense of the Second Amendment.  With this year's debut of the Calguns Foundation, many more good things promise to be just over the Second Amendment horizon.  Your support of the NRA and especially the NRA Members' Council Program has been a great help and we look forward to continuing to build on our effective working relationship.

Thanks to new leadership at the California Rifle and Pistol Association, this past year has brought us closer together.  CRPA Executive Director, John Fields, is a breath of fresh air and we welcome his input and assistance to our California Second Amendment Team.

And of course, if it were not for the NRA-ILA ,and the support from Executive Director Chris Cox and his staff, our efforts would have not enjoyed the level of success we have achieved.  ILA provided support, guidance, and direction during some of the most critical moments of this past session.

Thanks to all of you!
