1. URGENT - HELP NEEDED TODAY ON AB 2131
AB 2131 (ASSAULT WEAPONS) will be before the Assembly Public Safety Committee tomorrow, April 4th.
This bill would revise permit and registration procedures for assault weapons obtained from
interstate succession and assault weapons being brought into the state by person moving into
the state, and for other persons wishing to acquire an assault weapon, as specified.
Please contact the Assembly Public Safety Committee ASAP and voice your support.

2. NRA INTRODUCES LEGISLATION TO END BUREAUCRATIC GUN BANS AB2111 (Haynes)
In California, for handguns to be sold by a licensed dealer they must be
tested by the State of California and listed on the "safe' handgun roster.
If the yearly deadline to file the Department of Justice (DOJ) paperwork to keep a make and model handgun on the DOJ is missed for any reason that handgun is BANNED from being sold by a licensed dealer.
Passage of AB2111 will end the BUREAUCRATIC GUN BANS and end the yearly paperwork filing process and require that once the handgun has been approved for sale it will stay listed on the DOJ "safe" handgun list and remain available for sale forever.
