Condor Reference Papers:

Note: Over time is has come to my attention that the public at large is having a hard time getting certain key documents in the debate over condors and other endangered species versus banning traditional ammunition. From time to time I will post some of these so that the public can have access to these more easily.

1) CA DFG Final Environmental Document December 2007- Final report and findings approved by the DFG and The CA Fish & Game Commission.

2) Peer-Reviewed Rebuttal by Don Saba of Church et al 2006, Published in Environmental Science and Technology January 2008- Comments by Dr. Don Saba on a report claiming links between lead in traditional ammunition and the lead found in blood in condors.

3) American Ornithological Union/CA Audubon- Status of the California Condor and Efforts to Achieve It's Recovery & Game Commission.

     - Report by 7 scientists on the status of the Condor Recovery Program, including other mortality factors such as junk ingestion and various program design flaws.
